SANTA LUCIA PRESERVE SIX

This Estancia inspired home is located deep in the Santa Lucia Preserve, a pristine piece of California wilderness. The dwelling nestles into the landscape and opens out to the southward views down the valley. The form is rooted in the vernacular ranch style homes of the Preserve with a clear infusion of contemporary detailing—an aesthetic achieved through the use of the rustic materials, stone and western red cedar coupled with expansive steel framed windows and French doors.

The property includes a main house with adjacent guest house and pool, as well as a stable and caretaker’s cottage. These built forms are all connected through a series of courtyards, gardens and landscape that link to the inspiring setting.
