BIG SKY
Big Sky, MT

The renovation brief for this getaway home overlooking the Rocky Mountains in the Yellowstone Club near Big Sky, Montana, was simple: The owners wanted to refresh the 2007 residence’s dated interiors with clean lines and a lighter, more contemporary look. A two-story addition to the four-bedroom home was the first step toward brightening things up, introducing expanded living spaces, additional windows, and new sightlines over the majestic valley below. Designed in collaboration with Kelly Hohla, all-new finishes of stone, glass, wood, and steel lighten and modernize the environment. The couple’s primary suite received a similar treatment, with a soothing gray color scheme for the bedroom and natural stone tile in the enlarged, spalike bathroom.
